With experience of over three decades in NGO sector, Lima is the founder of Frangipani and Green Future Foundation, working in the area of conservation science, research, environment education and interpretation.
A Bachelor of Science with Zoology and Masters of Science with Marine Zoology from University of Bombay, India, Lima served with the Bombay Natural History Society, Mumbai (BNHS) and the Centre for Environment Education, Ahmedabad (CEE) as a Program Coordinator handling interpretation programs for critical wetlands and forests in India.
Lima wasa senior consultant with WWF. At WWF-India she served as the Director-Environment Education with country-widecharge of the Environment Education. Lima also consults with the CMS - Environment on various capacity building initiatives with corporates and teachers. She has also consulted with the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun, on preparing a policy document on the National Biodiversity Action Plan. Currently, she is consulting with the Punjab Tourism and Heritage Promotional Board on Designing Interpretation Centres for the Chhatbir Zoo, Mohali and Ropar Wetland Rupnagar, Punjab.She is currently registered for a doctoral programme in Wildlife Sciences and social psychology at the Centre for Wildlife Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, U.P.
