A lawyer by profession and a senior partner of Kesar Dass B. & Associates, a leading law firm of the country, Asha is one of the key thinkers behind the idea of the Centre. She graduated in Botany before undertaking law degree.
Born and grown up in the mountains of Uttarakhand and North East, she has deep and sensitive understanding of the problems faced by the people living in the villages of the hilly region.
To work for the welfare of the people of Uttarakhand, in particular the youth and women living in the rural areas, and the ecology of the hills is one of the key driving spirits behind her motivation to co-found the Centre. She has a long association with the people of Dhanachuli, which she has been visiting for over fifteen years.
