An architect and planner by training, Mukta is presently serving as a senior researcher in Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi. With a Master in Urban and Regional Planning from Texas A&M University, United States, with specialization in community development, Mukta is also a visiting faculty at School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.
Mukta has a number of research papers to her credit; has held editorial positions in a number of prestigious academic publications; and contributes articles to a number of mainstream online and media publications.
She is trustee of Agrasar Centre for Migration and Employability, Gurgaon and secretary, mHS City Lab, New Delhi. She was a fellow of Future Institute, New Delhi.
