A Civil Engineer and Environmental Planner by qualification, Sushmita works at the World Bank Group in the Enviornment and Natural Resources Global Practice Department. She has more than a decade of professional experience in the Infrastructure Sector, with specialization in Project Feasibility and Impact Assessment Studies for various development Projects. She has had a diverse portfolio of experience, working multiple sectors such as Railways, Metro, Highway, sanitation, health and Water Resources Projects. She has worked on prestigious projects funded by External funding agencies like World Bank, ADB and is well versed with the guidelines of the MoEF, Govt. of India, World Bank and ADB.
She is currently working with developmental aid banking agencies in the sanitation, transport and health sectors. Her work involves overseeing the implementation of environmental issues, specifically, EHS, through the undertaking of necessary environmental assessments and related environment analytical work as part of project preparation.
