The Centre is committed to the empowerment of women through initiatives that help in realizing their full potential. Programs are planned to provide access to women to healthcare, career and vocational guidance, employment, social security and creative career opportunities in the rural areas. Effort is being made to change societal attitudes and community practices by active participation and involvement of women in projects of the Centre.
A project is being planned for vocational training to provide computer literacy, proficiency in English, Jam and jelly making from local produce, oil extraction from almond, walnut, apricot seeds, organic farming, local crafts, sewing and other skills. Financial support, procurement linkages, access to market and other support systems will also be provided to ensure sustainability of these projects. A project for encouraging and supporting development of home stay experiences around local culture and traditions for tourists in rural areas is also being planned.
